Neopseustoidea — надсемейство чешуйчатокрылых летающие и днём и ночью. В этом надсемействе открыто 1 семейство в котором росположены 4 рода. Эти примитивные мотыльков встречаются в Южной Америке и Юго-восточной Азии, их биология не известна (Davis 1975; Davis and Nielsen 1980, 1984; Kristensen, 1999). Nematocentropus представлен самым примитивным родом встречающийся в Ассам, Бирма и Сычуане (Китай), три вида из рода Neopseustis встречаютя с Ассам до Тайваня, Synempora andesae и три вида из рода Apoplania встречаются в южной части Южной Америки (Kristensen, 1999: 53-54). Морфология усиков изучалась в деталях (Faucheux 2005ab; Faucheux et al., 2006).
