My Own Private Alaska — оригинальная группа из Франции, играющая в стиле screamo, experimental. Отличаются тем, что у группы нет гитары, а в состав входят пианист, барабанщик и вокалист. В 2007 году вышел их первый демо-альбом, который называется MOPA. Примечательно, что за глаза группу окрестили «три сидящих музыканта», которые исполняют музыку исключительно сидя. В 2010 году у группы вышел альбом под названием Amen. В апреле 2011 года у группы вышел акустический альбом под названием The Red Sessions.

Музыканты скрывают свои имена: Т. — пианино, Y. — ударные, M. — вокал. Но всё же стали известны их настоящие имена: Tristan, Yohan, Matthieu Miègeville.
