История

Проект был начат Marcus E. Norman в 1992 году под названием Pain, позже переименован в Ancient. В 1993 году было записано первое демо «In the Eye of the Serpent». После выхода демо проект был вновь переименован и получил своё нынешнее название Ancient Wisdom. После подпиcания контракта с лейблом Avantgarde Music в 1994 году был записан первый полноформатный альбом «For Snow Covered the Northland», однако в связи с техническими сложностями альбом не был выпущен до 1996 года. За это время Ancient Wisdom превратился в так называемый «one man band» — проект всего с одним участником, исполняющим и записывающим партии на всех инструментах. На сегодняшний день Ancient Wisdom выпустил 4 полноформатных альбома.
