Remote Play — является функцией на PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable и PlayStation Vita , который позволяет пользователю PSP или PS Vita соединять устройство с PlayStation 3. Пользователи могут получить доступ к музыке, видео, фото, PlayStation игры, PlayStation Store и различные приложения, хранящиеся на жестком диске PlayStation 3 или на внешнем флеш-накопителе который соединён с PlayStation 3.

С обновлением 2.00 появилась функция выключения PlayStation 3 через PlayStation Portable[1].

Remote Play на PS Vita

Remote Play позволяет играть в любые игры от PlayStation 3 на PlayStation Vita. Сервером для игры служит PlayStation 3. Включив на PS3 и PS Vita функцию Remote Play, возможно играть в любую PS3 игру на PS Vita. Передача данных идет либо через локальный WiFi, либо через интернет. Чтобы играть в игры от PS3 на PS Vita достаточно вставить диск в консоль и включить режим Remote Play.[2]
