Merciful Release — английский лейбл звукозаписи, основанный Эндрю Элдричем, фронтменом группы The Sisters of Mercy. Как заявил Элдрич в интервью, данном им в начале восьмидесятых, он основал лейбл потому что хотел услышать себя по радио. Он и Гари Маркс записали первый сингл The Sisters of Mercy «Damage Done» и напечатали тысячу копий. Эта запись стала коллекционной редкостью.

На протяжении начала 1980-х годов, группа выпустила ряд синглов и мини-альбомов на Merciful Release, полностью контролируя формат и вид записей. Обычно на релизах лейбла превалирует чёрный цвет и шрифт, характерный для всех альбомов Sisters of Mercy. Логотипом лейбла является изображение мужской головы в контуре звезды.

Помимо Sisters of Mercy, на лейбле записывались другие группы, такие как The March Violets и Salvation, а затем и проект Элдрича The Sisterhood, бас-гитаристка которого Патриция Моррисон позднее присоединилась к Sisters of Mercy.

В 1984 группа заключила контракт с мэйджор-лейблом Warner Bros. Records (Elektra Records в США) для распространения своей продукции, всё ещё контралируя Merciful Release.
